Precision Mould, Tool and Die Training Program MOU Signing Ceremony

VTAR Institute just signed the MOU of Precision Mould, Tool and Die Training Program with EDM Machining Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd and associated industry partner on 15 July 2022.

This is a 6 months free programme with accommodation provided and RM1000 allowance for every months by EDM and associated industry training partners during the programme period. Upon completion of the training programme, the trainees will be taken in as a contract staff for a year.

Each enrollment cycle is open to only 12 trainees each intake and candidacy will be confirmed via interview only. This is a golden opportunity for fresh school leavers to learn some skills and gain employment.

VTAR’s Visitation to Industry Partner’s Workshop

CEO of VTAR Institute Madam Tan Cheng Liang led her team of instructors paid a visit to each Industry Partner’s Workshop that proposed the Precision Mould, Tool and Die Collaboration Training Program.

VTAR has the best interest of their students, giving their best to understand the industry and training environment for the proposed training program. Industry partners assuring the best treatment and future to those who are willing to put in the effort, time and dedication to their work.

Many industry players are in need of future leaders of their company, but not all are willing to take the time to develop new blood for the industry. EDM Machining Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd and the pioneering industry players shall be the first.

First Contact with VTAR

In March 2022, Managing Director Chew Cheong Loong of EDM Machining Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd along with renowned industrial players representative visited VTAR and had a proposal meeting to establish a new vocational program for the Precision Mould, Tool and Die Industry.

The industry is in deep need of fresh blood to keep up with the global demand. For close to a decade, the industry had been facing difficulty in recruiting local talents, causing a gap in the continuity of the company leadership in years to come. The industry is currently deeply dependent on foreign staff, the situation is worsen as there is a shortage of foreign labour supply.

EMS and industry players hopes that this collaboration training project with VTAR could keep the industry flourish for manymore years to come.

The Precision Mould, Tool and Die Industry is involved in the front end of most manufacturing processes in Malaysia, with majority of them exported to international market. The industry provide mould and parts fabrication services to the more commonly known industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, Electrical and Electronics, and Packaging.
